He began his career at Anglia Locksmiths, a family-run business in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, after completing his education. In 1995, he became a partner in the company, contributing significantly to its reputation for excellence in locksmith services.

Mark is widely recognized for his expertise in non-destructive entry techniques, safe engineering, and key programming. His dedication to the craft has led him to share his knowledge as a tutor at various locksmith shows across the UK, where he conducts specialized courses on lock bumping—a method of opening pin tumbler locks using a specially crafted bump key.

In addition to his role at Anglia Locksmiths, Mark founded BumpKeys4U, a company that supplies high-quality bump keys and locksmith tools. Through BumpKeys4U, he offers training courses aimed at enhancing locksmiths’ proficiency in bumping techniques.
